The woman screamed to the rhythm of the writhing creature
a parturient chaos befell her milky figure
The room was still but for the spasmodic human
and the man with goat's feet hung around his neck

"Save my boy and spare me I plead"
"For what is my life if he were born dead"
The sweat beaded and rushed over her face
and the man gave her an offer

"A life of true sight without health"
grimacing as he held her gripping hand
The room fell, swallowed into a vortex
In her final breath she nodded, and he sliced her stomach

In that moment a demon opened its eyes
then stared into the babe's future
it bittered everything he would come to love
and showed him its vision

Aged he tread the earth bestowed
The calls and the visions imbued his soul
The flowers burned at his feet
Nightmarish beings surrounded him

He forever asked for peace
It pelted him with anguish and fear
The man with the goat's feet was by his side
guiding over him in expectation

The demon's will filtered through his body
It ate at him and crusted his being
for he was a child of curse
and death followed his every step

He remained nameless and he would not speak
but motioned in a slumberous dance
a beggingness that penetrated
and united all around him

Avec Панихида, Батюшка renaît enfin de ses cendres et, bien que désormais seul (ou plus exactement entouré de deux chanteurs), Христофор accomplit un miracle. Il s'inscrit dans la continuité de Литоургиiа avec un black metal orthodoxe qui nous convie ici à une cérémonie dédiée aux morts.
